MULTIPLE CONFIGURATIONS
CHAMFERING UNITS
Plastics Extrusion Machinery LLC (PEM) knows that “one-size-fits-all” is impossible to achieve in the PVC pipe manufacturing industry. That’s why we offer multiple configurations of chamfering machines. Whether you need a stand-alone or an integrated unit, we have a solution to suit your needs.
VERSATILE
Stan-alone or fully integrated units available
STURDY
Carbide cutting blades that last
PEM has multiple solutions for your pipe chamfering needs, including single-head and multi-head I.D. and O.D. Chamfering Machines for the spigot end of PVC pipe. Standard units come ready to be mounted to your pipe Beller or another table. Multiple sizes and configurations of Chamfering Machine are available to accommodate PVC pipe sizes ranging from ½ to eight inches. Both our I.D. and O.D. cutters feature carbide blades that last for thousands of cycles and can be re-sharpened several times before needing replacement. Our Chamfering Machines can be sold as a stand-alone unit or integrated into your existing controls. We can also build them into a brand new PEM Belling Machine.

I.D. Router
PEM also offers an I.D. Router at the bell end for three to 60-inch PVC pipe products. The I.D. Router travels forward to the bell end of the pipe where the pipe is rotated slowly and a 45-degree chamfer is cut on the inside of the pipe. This aids in the belling process as the pipe is being formed over the top of a Rieber gasket and by providing a smoother installation for fitment in the field.

Bevel Devil
Many gasketed PVC pipe products require a 15-degree bevel on the outside of the spigot end of the pipe. Because of this, PEM’s O.D. Chamfering Machine features a Bevel Devil chamfering tool that machines a smooth bevel on the end of the pipe during the belling process.
